Kia Motors India launched the Carnival in India on 5 February 2020 at the Auto Expo 2020. The Indian version is powered by a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Carnival is available in three variants, which are Premium, Prestige, and Limousine. Kia Carnival price starts at ₹ 30.24 Lakh and goes up to ₹ 41.11 Lakh. The price of the Diesel version for Carnival ranges between ₹ 30.24 Lakh – ₹ 41.11 Lakh.
Carnival Specifications
The Kia Carnival comes with a 2.2-liter CRDI diesel engine. It puts out 200PS of power and 440Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Unlike the Innova Crysta, the Carnival is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. Kia claims a fuel economy of 13.9kmpl for the Carnival. It also comes with a boot space of 540 liters.
Carnival Features
Some standout features in the Carnival include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, rear electric sliding doors, rear entertainment screens as well as tri-zone climate control. Safety features on offer are 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera as well as electronic stability control. The top-spec variants also get UVO connected cars (free for 3 years), Harman/Kardon premium 8-speaker sound system, and 10.1-inch dual touchscreen rear-seat entertainment system, 10-way power driver seat, driver seat ventilation, wireless charger, and smartwatch connectivity.
Carnival Variants
The MPV is available in three variants: Prestige, Premium, and Limousine, with the option of 7, 8, or 9 seats. All three variants are available with the 2.2-liter diesel engine. The limousine variant is a 7-seater version with luxurious armchairs for the middle row. The Prestige variant is available as a 7- or 9-seater. The entry-level Premium trim is available as a 7- or 8-seater. Three color options on offer are Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Aurora Black Pearl.
